Andhra Pradesh:2014 polls squabble for seats begin

Hyderabad:General elections are clearly two years away, but Congress leaders have started squabbling over the Parliament and Assembly seats they want to contest.

Minister for Marketing  Mukesh Goud open assertion that he is a claimant for the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat in 2014 elections has kicked up a row with the sitting member Anjan Kumar Yadav(M P)  making it clear that he will be the candidate for the next polls also.

Congress MLA from Uppal  Raji Reddy joined the chorus opposing re-nomination to Malkajgiri MP Sarvey Satyanarayana saying that three other party legislators were against him. Home Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy and Medchal MLA  Laxma Reddy are eyeing Chevella Parliament seat represented by Union Minister Jaipal Reddy.

Their verbal duel reached a new low with Mr. Yadav daring Mr. Goud to forget about the seat or face consequences. The Minister gave him back stating that Secunderabad seat was not his fiefdom and that people would decide as to who should represent them.

It is an open war in Visakhapatnam, where Rajya Sabha member T. Subbarami Reddy is repeatedly asserting that he was in the race for the Lok Sabha seat, which is held by Union Minister D. Purandeswari. He wants her to shift to Guntur or Narsaraopet parliamentary constituency in the next polls.
