A 13-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Vanasthalipuram on Friday, was rescued by the Cyberabad police on Sunday.
The
abductors took him in a car and kept him in their hideout at Miryalguda
in Nalgonda district. They later called the boy's father Ramesh, a
scrap businessman, demanding ransom. Kidnappers called Ramesh twice from
different coin booths and demand Rs.1 lakh from him.
They
had also asked Ramesh to hand over the cash to them at Secunderabad
railway station. Inquiries revealed that the accused were also involved
in chain snatchings.
Three persons involved in the abduction were taken into custody. The accused committed the crime to earn quick money.
G. Manikanta, a resident of NGOs Colony in Vanasthalipuram, was abducted while he was going to watch ‘Ishq' movie.
