Telugu Desam complained on dances at meet

Some women members of the group danced to the recent popular songs on the occasion. Taking strong objection to the dances, TD politburo member Yarrannaidu said that they will complain to EC about the indecent dances.

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had participated in the public meeting held at North Rajup-alem, 15 kms from Nellore on Friday as part of campaign for Congress nominee for Kovur byelection. Congress leaders hired the orchestra group to entertain the gathering and ke-ep them engaged till the ar-rival of the Chief Minister.


Former minister Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu has expressed confidence in victory to TD nominee Somireddy Chandramo-han Reddy at Kovur while referring to TD vote share in the segment since 1993. He alleged that CM Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy and YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy are involved in a war for CM seat and it will only benefit the TD.

Speaking to reporters at NTR Bhavan here on Saturday, he blamed the Chief Minister for allowing such programmes in public meetings. He alleged that CM also tried to lure the voters by assuring development programmes in Kovur segment.

Mr Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy said that Jagan campaign has failed to evoke any response in Kovur segment contrary to his expectations. He has also alleged that Congress leaders have mobilised crowds to CM public meeting from areas other than Kovur Assembly segment.
