At a press
conference held at Nellore Press Club here on Saturday, Mr. Rajagopal
said the Congress government either at the Centre or in the State had
nothing to do with the inclusion of YSR's name in the FIR filed by the
CBI in the illegal assets case of YSR Congress Party president
Jaganmohan Reddy. It would not be proper to attribute motives in this
case, as the CBI investigation began only at the instance of the High
Court based on complaints of some individual leaders, he added. Mr.
Rajagopal dismissed the allegation that the Congress was meting out a
raw deal to the YSR family.
Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal is known for
springing surprises with his secretive election surveys. He is again
getting another survey being carried out on the present by-election in
the seven Assembly segments, one in coastal Andhra and six in Telangana
region.
When asked about the trends as per his
survey, Mr. Rajagopal said that he would not comment on this right now
but indicated that his survey results would be given out on the evening
of March 18, the day of polling.
