Jagan DA case: Sakshi TV accounts to be defreezed

                                                                         
Hyderabad: There is some relief for YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has ordered that the accounts of his media company Sakhi TV be defreezed. But the Fixed Deposits held by his companies will remain frozen.
The leader of YSR Congress is under investigation for owning disproportionate assets. The state government had earlier issued orders to attach Jagan Reddy's properties, which include Sakshi TV.
Meanwhile, Jagan Reddy on Tuesday shot off a letter to the Prime Minister saying he might be arrested before the June 12 by-elections in Andhra Pradesh. He accused the Congress and the Opposition TDP of acting in concert against him.
The CBI, investigating into alleged disproportionate assets of the YSR Congress chief, had filed three chargesheets in the case and had approached banks for freezing the accounts of the three companies, including the two media entities.
Following the development, amounts to tune of Rs 2.85 crore in current accounts maintained by the firms in different banks here besides fixed deposit of Rs 103 crore stood frozen.
