The AICC on Friday officially released the list of candidates for the byelections to the 18 Assembly and one Lok Sabha seats.
Except for Polavaram and Macherla, the names of candidates remained the same as the ones that were ‘leaked’ earlier.
For Polavaram (ST), N. Parvathi, was chosen as the candidate. This is expected to lead to discontent in the party.
Similarly, the name of Kurri Punna Reddy for Macherla was replaced with P. Laxma Reddy, uncle of P. Ramakrishna Reddy, the YSR Congress candidate.

Vijayaramireddy, Tirup-ati: M. Venkata Ramana; Railway Koduru: Eswarai-ah; Rajampet: M. Mallik-arjuna Reddy, Rayachoti: G. Ram Prasad Reddy, Anantapur: Rashida Beg-um; Rayadurgam: P. Ven-ugopal Reddy; Yemmig-anuru: Rudra Goud; Allagadda: G. Pratap Reddy and Parkal: S. Samma Rao.
