Government slow on Jagan: TDP

Telugu Desam has charged the government with going slow on the issue of granting permission for attachment of properties belonging to Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy as some of the bigwigs in the government had secret business relations with him.
Party spokesman A. Revanth Reddy cited the example of Saraswathi Industries owned by Mr. Jagan being allotted limestone mines worth thousands of crores in violation of several rules. Officials had been suggesting cancellation of the mining lease owing to these irregularities but for some reason the Chief Minister had kept the file pending for several months now, he alleged.
Scrap deal
Meanwhile, Lok Satta Party has reiterated its demand that the State government scrap its deal on Vodarevu and Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor (VANPIC) as it is steeped in corruption and was against public interest.
Private company
Party general secretary Katari Srinivasa Rao said that the State government had allocated thousands of acres of land for a private port company without competitive bidding and without taking the Union Government into confidence and earmarked a huge area as its exclusive zone.
