Jagan is only after Chief Minister's chair, says Kiran

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy accused YSRCP president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy of having planned against the Congress government in the recent past with the sole aim of becoming Chief Minister, on Thursday here.
Serving people
Speaking at the Gandhi Bomma junction in the old town area of Anantapur, which is going to polls, he accused Jagan of trying to bring down the very Congress government which his father YSR had brought to power to serve the people.
“All he needed was and is the Chief Minister's chair, while we are in power only to serve the people and are still continuing all the schemes that YSR launched. In fact we have bettered them qualitatively,” he said to the applause from the audience.
He appealed to the people of Anantapur, whom he described as being an educated lot and who had the capacity to see beyond the politics of YSR Congress, to cast their vote for the Congress party by looking at the work it has done and is continuing to do.
Fee reimbursements
He said that the Congress government was spending hundreds of crores of rupees towards fee reimbursement to help better the lives of their children. Reasoning that Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had no moral right to speak against the party even as the son of YSR, as the Congress government was continuing all the schemes introduced by YSR, he also said that YSR had become the leader that he was only because of the prodding and help of AICC president Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
“Only because Sonia Gandhi directed all of us to elect YSR as the Chief Minister, we did and co-operated. Yet, never did YSR speak against Sonia Gandhi. Such was his discipline as a Congress leader unlike Jagan,” Kiran said taking a dig at Jagan.
