CM, Ministers conspired to put Jagan in jail: Vijayamma

YSR Congress leader Y.S. Vijayamma has accused Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and the Congress government of hatching plans to ensure a long jail term for her son Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
Speaking on the first day of her election campaign in Anantapur district, she said: “The Chief Minister and all other Ministers have always been saying that Jagan will go to jail. Why will he not go to jail when the Chief Minister and his Cabinet have conspired to put him behind bars.”
‘CBI being misused'
Accusing the UPA government and the Congress party in State of misusing the CBI, Ms. Vijayamma said she was confident that her son would come out unscathed.
Contrary to the charges levelled against him by the CBI and the leaders of political parties of quid pro quo, she said: “Jagan had laid the foundation stones for the cement factory and the power projects before 2004, although they might have started operations during or after 2004.”
Ms. Vijayama reasoned that her sons wealth was not something that was ill-gotten or arising out of the power being in the hands of his father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Ms. Vijayamma's road show witnessed huge response in the district. There was overwhelming response from women. She was accompanied by Anantapur MLA B. Gurunath Reddy and other senior leaders of the YSR Congress Party.
