YSR Congress Party complained to the Election Commission against Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for hurting the sentiments of Christians by issuing a statement on June 4 asking Pulivendula MLA Y.S. Vijayamma to swear by the Holy Bible that her son and Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was not guilty. YSRCP Kadapa district official spokesman B. Kishore Kumar who faxed the complaint to the SEC, quoted the Bible which states that Christians should never swear by the Bible.
