Naidu dares Jagan to declare assets

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday dared YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy to follow his example and declare his assets explaining the source instead of making wild allegations.
For a person who misused his father's position to make money, it was indeed laughable to claim that he would provide a corruption- free administration, Mr. Naidu said referring to Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy's comment.
He recalled that the Heritage Group owned by his family for 20 years, ran stores from rented premises while Mr. Reddy ran his newspaper from own buildings everywhere. “How did he get so much of money?”
Ridiculing Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy's charge of an understanding between the TDP and Congress, he reminded him that the former had almost a three-decade record of fighting the latter and bringing together all non-Congress parties to form government at the Centre. In fact, it was Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy who had an understanding with Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, he alleged.
The TDP president reiterated his appeal to students of Telangana not to resort to extreme steps. he said his party had made its stand clear and it was for the Congress to take the final call.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Naidu said Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy owed an explanation to people how he managed to make thousands of crores of assets in a short span of five years when his father and former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy had put up his house on sale in 2004. Everyone was aware of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy's grandfather's record of starting off as a clerk in a barytes unit and then owning it using devious means, he said.
